The Chester Bluecoat Charity recently awarded Hoole Community Centre a grant in order to pay for a First Aid Course for the Café Manager.
The café is a thriving neighbourhood hub welcoming on average 50-60 people daily, hosting various events such as a children’s cooking class to a senior’s lunch club.
The £468 awarded covered entirely the three day St John Ambulance first aid course, keeping the café managers qualification up to date. For the size of the building and number of service users, it is vital that someone has a full first aid certificate in order to be able to safely support the public.
The Chester Bluecoat Charity funds local organisations who support those disadvantaged or living in poverty and were pleased to be able to support Hoole Community Centre and the invaluable work and impact it makes in their area.
